It’s okay to be tempted!
A lot of us have goals whether it be to lose weight, get into school, be healthier, drink less or whatever. A lot of us come up with the perfect plan to accomplish our goal and then fall short. And then when we look at the reasons why we fell short the finger often gets pointed back towards ourselves. Sucks right? Working so hard towards something and realizing you’re the reason why it didn’t work out.
Then you look at every reason why you failed. You may blame the weather. You may blame your peers. Your work. Your finances. There are thousands of external factors you could blame for your failure but at the end of the day, the only one you can blame is yourself.
And you know what? That’s okay.
So for anyone that is new to Wallace Wellness I’m going to inform you that I am God fearing and Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. If that doesn’t apply to you, that’s okay, because this point still does. In the Bible, Hebrews 2:18 it mentions how JESUS, himself was tempted. As amazing and great as Jesus is, he was living in this world to suffer and see all of the things us humans see. The bottom line is this.
Temptation doesn’t make us failures. It makes us human.
Temptation will not stop for a long time. It will take a lot of time, a lot of work, and most importantly. DISCIPLINE. If you’re serious about accomplishing your goals there a vast amount of temptations you’re going to have to fight with. You’re not going to win every time and that’s okay! Get back up and get back in the fight! So keep growing. Keep showing up. Keep being great. Keep crushing goals one step at a time!
